In 1984, a small group of believers with a heart for urban ministry and poverty alleviation started the mission that became Shepherd Community Center. Humble compassion and bold faith in community development built trust and brokered real change in the inner city of Indianapolis. Today, Shepherd’s staff and board of directors maintain the foundation of faithful servant leadership that continues to bring reconciliation and renewal to our city.
