Teaching Kitchen

A few years ago, we built a teaching kitchen as part of our building.

This was critical to helping our families learn how to cook. It helps them learn a skill that will help their money go further at the grocery store. It also helps them eat healthier.

This initiative is essential as we want our families to help their food go further and improve their health. Yes, we live in what others declare as a food desert, so this helps in addressing our neighbors challenges.

We also have created a food co-op for our neighbors who pay $2 a week and volunteer so many hours each month. This allows them to obtain fresh produce and vegetables and, periodically, meat.

Food is an essential part of what we provide to our neighbors through friends like you. Thank you.
