Shepherd’s Internship Programs focus on developing leaders for a lifestyle of Kingdom service by immersing interns in urban ministry, leadership development, and experiences designed to clarify a personal call. While participating in the Shepherd Internship Programs, interns have the opportunity to practice incarnational ministry by living, working, and worshiping in the neighborhood Shepherd serves. Interns will have the opportunity to minister in multiple areas of ministry and contribute to the mission of breaking the cycle of poverty on the near Eastside of Indianapolis.
The Missio365 Fellowship with Shepherd Community Center is designed to offer young, emerging leaders a dynamic, hands-on ministry experience in the heart of the city. The year begins in June with the Heart of the City Summer Internship. After a short break, the Missio365 Fellowship resumes with the regular school year, wrapping up in May.
The Missio365 Fellowship is designed to help participants:
- Engage culture guided by a kingdom worldview
- Gain clarity and take steps toward God’s calling guided by values and sense of destiny
- Establish healthy and sustainable life rhythms that produce ministry longevity
- Gain experience in a holistic urban ministry and prepare for future endeavors
