Open Door Program
Every day that Shepherd opens its doors, a problem is fixed, a child is helped, a life is touched; and every day, it costs Shepherd $4,100 to keep those doors open.
These are difficult times financially; that’s no surprise. And almost twice as many are coming through those doors as in 2007 -- hundreds of neighborhood children, teens, and parents -- and to many of them, Shepherd is the difference between making it, and not making it.
Currently, we are tightening our belts here at Shepherd. Already one program has been cut, and some staff members are being laid off. We don’t know how long we can continue at this level. We desperately need help holding the doors open.
You can reach out and help hold that door open today. Commit to donating $10, $20, or even $50 a month -- every month. Regular donors like you are just about the only way we can meet our day-to-day expenses. And donations like yours free up funding for vitally important programs.
