Intern—Youth Job Preparedness Program (Middle School)
Program Description
This program for middle school students focuses on:
- Career research
- Local business field trips
- Community service
- Financial training
- Tutoring
- College exploration
- Spiritual development
- Recreational activities (swimming, golf, hiking, and camping)
Camp participants also receive: lunch, afternoon snacks, back-to-school clothes, shoes, and school supplies.
Typical Weekly Schedule: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday approximately 9:00 AM-4:30 PM; Wednesdays 10:00 AM-7:30 PM (including Church). Times may vary.
Intern Responsibilities:
- Attend training during the first week and help with program set up..
- Prepare and teach Wednesday night Bible studies.
- Co-lead the group on Tuesday afternoons and Fridays.
- Assist the Supervisor during overnight camping trips.
- Assist the Supervisor on all field trips
- Help facilitate and assist the Supervisor with all activities.
- Chaperone on one-week off-site educational and recreational trip.
- Prepare the students for the one-week educational and recreational trip.
