Hunger at the Holidays

Eight out of ten children in our neighborhood will not have regular meals when they are not is school. We try to alleviate the problem with our Hunger at the Holidays program. Sponsored by several local churches, this program provides these kids with totes that have enough food to last through Christmas break. Each tote contains:

20 Microwave meals (Soup at Hand, Hormel dinners, Easy Mac)
16 Breakfast items (Pop-tarts, individual cereals, instant oatmeal)
16-20 Juice (100%) boxes
6-8 Packs of individual fruit cups
6-8 Packs of peanut butter crackers or cheese crackers
6-8 Small bags of chips or crackers
1 Box of fruit snacks
1 Box of granola bars
6-Pack of pudding cups or other dessert

The cost of a single tote is $60, and our goal this year is to provide 800 children with Christmas Break Totes. Even though several churches help with this program, there's still a lot that you can do. Please help us by donating to Hunger at the Holidays today.
