Big things or little things?
Sometimes, it is preferable to give things rather than to give cash. At Shepherd, we divide such things into two categories—big things and little things:
Little Things--like school supplies, paper napkins, and even appliances--we call Material Donations. These are the items we intend to use in our ministry right away, and we keep a running list of what we need. Click here, or on the link at left to see the most recent list and for more info about giving stuff.
Big things--like cars, real estate, and stock--we call Assets. Assets are those things that we may use for ministry or we might liquidate for cash to support ministry generally. Click here, or on the link at left for more information about donating assets.
But there may also be things that you want to give that are not on our list. Call us about those. We feel that it is more than coincidence: many times people will offer the very things we need before we ever advertised the need. So please call (317) 375-0203 if you have something you want to donate.
Thank you. In whatever way you support Shepherd, you are helping to break the cycle of poverty in Indianapolis.
