“Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.”  Matthew 19:14

This is our chance to instill positive behaviors in our growing children because they will one day lead this neighborhood to brighter beginnings. It is our practice to uphold our children to higher standards, to respect them and their families, to offer support, and to help them succeed in life. It is our goal to change this neighborhood by starting with the next generation so that they can change their family’s lives.

Throughout the year the Shepherd staff takes on the challenge of filling the childrens’ memories with nothing but positive uplifting events from traveling to the zoo, to a greeting of a hug, to two meals a day, to knowing that Christ loves them and they are worthy of this love!

These are the things that these kids will take with them. These are the things that will lead these children from a hopeless, helpless, joyless future to one that is full of hope, joy, and the skills to help others.
