Saturday Morning

This is a very special program where our neighbors in need gather in our church building for individual counseling and prayer.  The forty to fifty families that currently attend Saturday Morning Ministries also receive a bag of groceries and personal items from our pantry twice a month.

This is a special time where we at Shepherd work to help our neighbors feel joy and hope by showing them God’s love, offering help where most needed, and caring for their pain.

We will build on these relationships through time and extend our neighbors hope by showing them how to help themselves. We offer benefits assistance, financial planning workshops, job placement, and housing placement; so that they can truly feel helpful and not helpless, hopeful and not hopeless, and joyful not joyless.

Our goal is to break the cycle of poverty! We do this through Education and Love both with the young and old on the near east side of Indianapolis.
