There are those who make such a huge impact on your life, Mike O’Dea was one of those for me. He served so many roles in my life… mentor, teacher, adviser, friend. His gentle way was never to be taken lightly, for he was strong and a man of great intensity. His impact at Shepherd will continue for many decades. Serving as a leader in our construction projects and constant adviser to us, he wanted the best for our kids… and wanted it done right, because “our kids deserve excellence.” A man of integrity, he was a consistent leader. Having served in the Navy… he understood sacrifice. As a dedicated father and husband… he understood family. As an educator… he understood learning. As a community leader… he understood service.

Mike passed away this week… but his legacy will continue. Mike, I love and will always miss my friend and adviser.
